Blog 184 – The Truth About You

We choose of our own free will to individuate (become a separate physical personality) and participate in a worldly life experience in order to understand different aspects of ourselves and others. We can create experiences for ourselves and others that allow us to demonstrate our higher spiritual natures through the expression of our love, compassion, empathy, thankfulness, gratitude, kindness, forgiveness, and charity, or we can demonstrate our egos through the expression of our fear, anxiety, guilt, anger, shame, judgment and condemnation, revenge, helplessness, despondency, grief, sadness, loneliness, and lust.  The challenges we face while believing that we are separated from God present all of us with many opportunities to experience the learning and personal growth necessary to fulfill the purpose that has led us to individuate in the first place. You can be certain that there is something that everyone, without exception, is looking to learn from their life experience in the world.

There is a difference between knowing, experiencing, and feeling. I believe we can agree, by definition, God is all-knowing. You as an aspect and expression of God, by extension, are also all-knowing. You can know intellectually what something is; however, that is different from experiencing or feeling it. I can describe compassion and empathy, but until you experience and feel the emotion arising out of an actual real experience, your understanding will be limited. Experiencing how it feels to love someone or make love to someone brings the idea of love to a new level of understanding. You may observe images of suffering, pain, woundedness, and despair; living and feeling these experiences within the human context will broaden the depths of your understanding. You can have a great deal of knowledge about sickness, disease, and death, but dealing with terminal illnesses and the loss of loved ones and living these experiences within your life in the world brings them home to you in a dramatic way. You can think you know what it feels like to hurt someone or take their life,to be destitute and homeless, in jail, in a war, but until you experience these situations you really can’t understand the depths of the feelings you will encounter.

Your life in the world that you have created in your mind provides you with the opportunity to experience a myriad of situations that occur within the human context for the purpose of your learning and personal growth and the learning and personal growth of all you interact with. Please understand,  none of what you experience in your dream world is real. Your egoic nature allows you to create the experience that you seek through your belief in your separation from God and by forgetting your relationship with God and your true spiritual identity. God being ever present with you will provide you with many opportunities to awaken to your truth, such as this message.  We are grateful to the Holy Spirit for inspiring us to share these messages with you and for encouraging you to read them.
