Blog 147 – Be The Change

As a result of our separation from God and the creation of our worldly personalities, we have created a world which reflects our complete obsession with ourselves and the fulfillment of our selfish desires and wishes. As a result, we put up walls between ourselves and others. We live in an unforgiving, judgmental world, which creates conflict, separation, and division between us. Many of us pursue wealth and materialism for our own gain and self-satisfaction, with often limited consideration for the needs of others who live in abysmal conditions. Our selfish values have ultimately led to human suffering and tragedy resulting from wars, poverty, brutality, persecution of others, sexual acting out, torture, starvation, massive killings, disease and sickness, and terrorism and barbarism. Our selfishness, materialism, need for power, and greed have led to global warming and climate change, resulting in violent weather, natural disasters, and death and destruction.

This does not have to be the tragic end of the story of our life in our created world. Together, we have the power to change the course of our worldly journey. Together, we can become much more than we ever imagined. We can rewrite our story and change the way we treat each other. We can become the love and wisdom of God our Creator and bring this love to all of humanity. We can choose to change the direction of our lives in the world by simply remembering who we really are. We can put aside our egocentric selves and become the spiritual beings that we are. We simply have to make the choice to listen and fulfill the will that God, through His Holy Spirit, speaks within us each day. We can emulate the actions and compassion that our eldest brother, Jesus, exemplified during His life in the world. We can become the fulfillment of His wishes by feeding the hungry, providing drink for the thirsty, providing shelter to the homeless, providing clothing to the poor, and visiting the sick, the dying, and the imprisoned. In this manner, we learn to love our neighbours as ourselves and fulfill the love that we are. Be confident and assured that this can happen if we put aside our worldly selves and choose to be aware of and nurture our spiritual natures.

As part of our awakening to the remembrance of our divine natures, we will change the way we look at and treat each other. We will reach out in love to all of humanity—not only those we like or who think and believe as we do, but all! We will observe each soul in this worldly drama with a new set of eyes and a new understanding. We will see past our small worldly selves and view everyone as though they truly are a part of us. Make a commitment to join with us in a “Movement to Create Change,” and bring God’s Light and God’s Love into our world.
