Blog 127 – Being The Love

Many years ago, during a spiritual time, my prayer friends and I received through the Holy Spirit, a simple but profound revelation to; “Be The Love”. We understood that this inspired message sums up in three words the intent of Christ’s messages found in our sacred writings. It is noteworthy that it says “Be The Love, not “Do the Love”. We understood that by following this direction we would be fulfilling our Holy Purpose in our created world. We would be taking our place as God’s most holy and precious children. We would be acknowledging our true spiritual natures as aspects and extensions of all that Love is, which is the Source of All Love, God. We also would be acknowledging our relationship to all of our brothers and sisters who are joined with us in the unity of God’s Holy Spirit, which is the Love we all are as aspects of God.

Through the acknowledgment of our responsibility to, “Be The Love”, we would be fulfilling God’s will for our lives within our physical manifestation of our life in this world. In addition, we would discover our true natures as the compassionate, forgiving, caring, selfless beings we are. I will be the first to admit fulfilling this commandment to “Be The Love” is easier said than done. No matter how well intentioned we are, we keep getting tripped up by our egocentric selves and our belief in our physical lives in the world. It is impossible to achieve this noble goal ourselves. We can only achieve it as we become more and more aware of our spiritual nature connected to God’s Holy Spirit. With the help and support of the Holy Spirit guiding us along the way, we can become the Love that we are as we put aside all of our “idols of form” and learn to share our inner light and love with all of God’s children. If you think about this simple instruction from God, it really makes perfect sense. God is love. By definition, we are extensions and expressions of God. He created us in His image, so it follows that in our true spiritual state, we must be the love as well. By “Being The Love, we are simply extending the love that God is, through ourselves.

Jesus and other fully awakened spiritual masters all demonstrated in their daily practice this attribute of “Being The Love.” I would respectfully suggest to you that any spiritually awakened human being cannot help but express The Love that God is through their actions, words, and deeds. You will recognize other spiritually aware individuals by their interactions with all others. In this way, you will know them through their love. You will also recognize their love for others through their forgiving spirit and their lack of judgment and condemnation. As you embrace this commandment to “ Be The Love”, you will feel the peace within you amid this oftentimes crazy and chaotic world. You will rejoice in all of the blessings in your life and be thankful and grateful for your relationship with God and All That Is.
