It maybe helpful as part of your spiritual practice to reflex on the course your life has taken from your earliest days to the present day. Pay particular attention to all that you have learned about yourself and others from the significant events that you have been involved in throughout your life. Notice the impact these events have had on you and others as you live out your worldly life. Look at the many “coincidences”, that have shown up in your life that have changed the direction your life has taken or affected the choices you have made. Think about the times you.have come to a crossroads in your life when you have had to decide the direction you would go . Look over your life and look for the patterns and recurring themes that keep showing up as part of your learning and spiritual growth.
I discovered that as I reflected on the events and the experiences that I was involved in throughout my life I became more and more aware that my life was no random happening. The course my life had taken seemed to be influenced by sources beyond myself. There seem to be a definite pattern and recurring themes that continually showed up throughout my life. I often felt a Presence near me that reassured me that I was not alone. Have you felt this Presence as well? It seemed when I was in the worst circumstances or during significant events in my life I often became aware that this Presence was with me. When I felt inspired or very creative this Presence was nearer to me than I ever could imagine. In the writing of my book and my weekly messages I am inspired and guided by God’s Holy Spirit.
I believe with complete certainty that whether you are aware of it or not, the truth of God’s Divine Presence interacting with you is your ultimate reality. You have the freedom of choice to deny Divine influences in your life, if you wish. By observing the totality of your life thus far it would be hard to put aside all of the interventions that have impacted on the direction your life has taken. Divine influences in your worldly life are simply the way it is. It is not possible for it to be any other way as you are an aspect, expression and extension of All That God Is. This is also your ultimate reality.
As result of this new understanding I gained a different perspective as I became more sensitive to.events and circumstances happening around and deep within me. My relationship with God deepened, even though my worldly life continued to remain very chaotic and dramatic. I began to understand that the challenges that I faced in my life provided me and many others with opportunities for learning and personal growth. As my life evolved, the experiences, individuals and situations I encountered moved me along on my spiritual journey of self discovery. It suddenly struck me that this was the purpose for our shared worldly experience.
