Your ego, which forms your perception of your worldly self, may feel threatened by the spiritual material we have shared with you in our weekly messages from our book; The Divine Mystery Revealed-The Book of Answers. You may notice thoughts in your mind that oppose anything we have presented that contradicts what you may have learned from your past experiences and interactions with others. Your ego will reinforce any incorrect and misleading beliefs you hold in order to affirm your belief in your worldly experience. In order for you to experience and feel all that your worldly life presents to you, your ego creates the illusion that you are separated from God. Without your ego fulfilling this role, it would be impossible for you to experience an illusionary life in the physical world that you have created in your mind. In fact, you as an aspect, extension and expression of all that God is, can never be separated from God. It is simply not possible. You and God are One. This is your truth. This is your ultimate reality.
Your ego questions, defends, judges, condemns, and attacks all who do not agree with your perception of yourself and the worldly experience that you have created. Your ego leads you to believe that it has your best interests at heart in defending you from perceived threats from others including God.It is important to emphasize the fact that your ego’s main job is to create the illusion of your separation from God and All Things Divine in order that you can fully experience and feel and believe in all aspects of your illusionary worldly life. Your ego knows that if you remember who you really are, a spiritual entity connected to God and All That Is, its influence over you will disappear.
As part of your critical thinking, your ego will compare the new information we have provided to you in our blogs, on our website and in our book with all of your past thoughts and experiences that have formed the basis of your current belief system. Your ego will attack all that conflicts with your current view of yourself that has evolved from what you have absorbed, like a sponge, from your environment. In this way your ego will reinforce your belief in the illusion of who you think you are while maintaining your belief in your separation from God. It can be very challenging changing your closely held beliefs to beliefs that reflect your true reality. Fortunately you are not alone in this. God has not abandoned you. God has provided you with His Holy Spirit, your eldest brother, Jesus Christ and other inspired masters, to guide you in the process of awakening to the truth of your true spiritual nature.
