Blog 159 – Your Questioning Mind

Your ego, which forms your perception of your worldly self, may feel threatened by the messages we have shared with you in our weekly posts. You may notice thoughts in your mind that oppose some of the ideas that we have presented to you that contradict what you have been led to believe from all those who have interacted with you from your earliest days. This is how your ego reacts to information that conflicts with its primary purpose of ensuring your belief in your physical life of form in your world and your separation from God and all of the spiritual influences around you. Your ego plays a vital role in allowing you to fully experience your physical life in your created world for your learning and personal growth and the learning and personal growth of all those around you. Your ego questions, defends, judges, condemns, and attacks all that doesn’t agree with your perception of yourself and the worldly experience you have created in your mind. In fact, your ego is looking to protect its own survival. It knows that if you remember who you really are, its influence over you will diminish, as you understand that your life in the world is an illusion, a dream, that has been created in your mind.

As part of your critical thinking, your ego will compare the new information we have provided to you through our book and our writings, with all of the past thoughts and experiences that form the basis of your current belief system. Your ego will attack all that conflicts with your current view of your life in the world, and of yourself. In this way, your ego will reinforce your belief in the illusion of who you think you are while maintaining your belief in your separated life from God. It can be very challenging to change any of your closely held beliefs.

As you journey through your life experiences, doors will open that will attract individuals and life events that will cause you to remember again who you really are while slowly becoming aware of the spiritual influences around you. You will begin to identify with God’s Holy Spirit, the still Voice of Love within you, your teacher and eldest brother, Jesus Christ, and other spiritual teachers and divine influences around you. As you begin to correct the mistaken thoughts in your mind you will awaken to your true nature. You will be born again as you remember the truth of your real identity as a spiritual entity in union with God and All That Is. As part of your awakening to your true nature you will begin to correct the beliefs and thoughts in your mind which are based on a false reality. You will learn to observe and stop listening to the many thoughts running through your head originating from your ego self and learn to listen instead to the voice of the Holy Spirit within you. You know deep within yourself that all that we are sharing with you is your truth.
